What is a Technical Approval (ATEC)?
A Technical Approval (ATEC) is an official document issued in France by the CSTB. It certifies that a product, system, or construction process has been evaluated through tests, studies, and an in-depth analysis of its implementation.
The ATEC therefore confirms the reliability, compliance, and durability of the system.
A test report represents one step in the validation process, while the Technical Approval is the official recognition of the system’s performance and compliance by the CSTB.
