EPD : Glass railing Environmental Product Declaration
As part of its environmental transparency approach, SADEV provides Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for several of its glass balustrade systems.
These EPDs give project owners, architects, specifiers and engineering offices access to reliable environmental data, in line with current regulatory requirements, particularly for projects subject to life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental performance regulations.
What is an EPD?
An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a standardized document that describes the environmental impacts of a construction product throughout its entire life cycle, including:

Installation

Use phase

End of life
EPDs are developed in accordance with EN 15804 and are verified by an independent third party before publication on an official environmental database such as INIES.

SABCO / OSF EPD
The SABCO and OSF glass balustrade systems are covered by a validated EPD, including the configurations defined within the declared scope.
These systems are suitable for residential, commercial and public buildings requiring documented and verified environmental data.
ROMEO EPD
The ROMEO range, a glass balustrade system with stand-off installation, also benefits from an official EPD.
This declaration allows ROMEO to be specified in projects requiring reliable environmental data, while maintaining the technical and aesthetic performance of the system.
VARIANCE EPD
The VARIANCE solution, a glass balustrade system with side-mounted or surface-mounted installation, now has its own EPD, completing the SADEV environmental product portfolio.
This EPD enables specifiers and design offices to integrate VARIANCE into projects requiring a comprehensive environmental assessment.
